It never fails... No matter what series you watch, there will always be characters that remind you of other characters. In the case of Kyo, I've noticed a lot of similarities to characters from other series. While every character is unique in his or her own way, the amount of similarities that they share is overwealming. In any case, check out the characters who I find resemble Kyo the most!

Tasuki

Out of all of the characters in anime, I would say that Tasuki and Kyo share the most resemblance. Tasuki is one of the Suzaku Shichiseishi from Watase Yuu's popular shoujo series, Fushigi Yuugi. In terms of appearance, I would say that both characters could easily be mistaken as being brothers. Both are well built, have flaming red hair, fangs, red eyes and are even the same age.

As for personality, Tasuki and Kyo are birds of a feather. They both have horrible tempers and are known to easily get angry at things. On top of that, they both have rivals with the main male character of the series (Yuki for Kyo and Tamahome for Tasuki).

Tasuki and Kyo are both skilled in martial arts too. Brawling is a passtime that they both enjoy very much. I'd expect that if Tasuki and Kyo ever met, the results would be hilarious though messy. ^_^; Check out Shikon! for more information on Tasuki!

Inuyasha

While Inuyasha and Kyo look nothing alike, they share a lot in terms of personality. Inuyasha is the main character from Rumiko Takahashi's series of the same name. Being the same age (neglecting the fact that Inuyasha was in suspended animation for 50 years), Inuyasha has had the same hardships that Kyo has had to endure when he was a child.

Being a hanyou (half human, half demon), Inuyasha was treated badly by everyone except his mother. He was neglected in both human and demon society, just like Kyo and how he was shunned by friends and family. Both characters still have to deal with being an outcast but both have women in their lives who help them realise that they're good people, despite what others may think.

Aside from sharing the same internal struggle, Inuyasha has the same sort of stubborn attitude that Kyo has. Both enjoy fighting and are quick to act without thinking. For more information on Inuyasha, visit New Moon Rising.

Sohryu Asuka Langley

Sohryu Asuka Langley is one of the child pilots in Shin Seiki Evangelion. Asuka may be female and she may be a few years younger than Kyo, but she's got some similarities in terms of personality. As far as looks go, she shares the same sort of firey hair that Kyo does but the physical similarities stop there.

Asuka has also had a troubled life. Her childhood is very similar to Kyo's in that her mother comitted suicide and her family didn't want her. They thought she was strange, just as Kyo's family thought he was strange. Neither family wanted anything to do with either character.

Asuka has a very short temper, she's stubborn and she enjoys fighting. While most of her fighting abilities are seen with Evangelion Unit-02, we learn that she's fairly talented in terms of martial arts in the manga. Asuka was trained to fight people.
